Any ideas on how to start your own handcrafted greeting card company?
rainbowdayof76 asked:
I have a portfolio of various greetings, hand painted and crafted and would like to sell them as my own line of cards, for Hallmark, or local boutiques and stores. I would like any financial steps, ideas on getting started.

I bought card racks from a store that went out of business.
I went from place to place asking if they’d sell my cards. One place just copied my idea. I have them for sale in 2 stores, but you have to be patient for sales. Most places around here charge 30% commission, so that makes the price even higher. You’re also competing with dollar stores. Just drop in a place and have a sampling of your cards with.
Well, you can always consider setting up your very own website and also use eBay as a concurrent avenue to sell your cards.
