under the patriot act it may be a requirement.
go to the us embassy and ask there. they can help you best
Here’s another place to check. I do a lot of import/export, and I have an office in Mexico (US business). I would think you could also do the other way around. If you have a passport, go to San Diego and visit the City Hall. You could ask them what the regulations are.
seller’s permit can be obtained from Department of equalization.
You do NOT have to be a US citizen..
You DO.. however… have to have the appropriate visas, business licenses and passport to enter the country. What you do when you get here, as long as you are legal, doesnt concern the American government. They WANT you to create jobs and pay taxes, they just want you to do it LEGALLY…
