Hand painting on t-shirts?

I wanted to put hand prints of my 4 month old on a t-shirt,.. I have seen this done on the baby story on tv.
The lady at the craft store told me there is not products out there for babies,.. is this true, has anyone else done it?

    Take photos of your 4 month old’s handprints, bring that photo to a t-shirt kiosk at the mall or a pro-ex or ritz, I think they can transfer photos on to a tee.

    My friend decorated her whole bathroom with the feet and hands of her 2 children, it looks awesome.
    I am pretty sure you could use ‘marabu textil paint’. They also offer fingerpaint (fingerfarbe) in case you want to put prints on a sheet of paper and then have it copied onto a T-Shirt. ‘Fingerfarbe’ is waterbased and easier to wash off.
